It's springtime at Ronald McDonald House New York and what better way to celebrate than welcoming back old friends! Chris Pratt stopped by to spend time with our families and give them toys from the new movie, Super Mario Bros.
Every 3 minutes, a family comes to grips with the sobering new reality that their child is the 1 in every 285 kids in the U.S. who has received a cancer diagnosis. To this day, cancer remains the number one cause of death by disease for children in America. That is why RMH-NY strives to make our biggest impact as we grow our mission.
Caroline and Beau never really slowed down from the moment they received their certificate to help. They lived on the Upper East Side of New York City where there was never a shortage of organizations that could always use a helping ‘paw’.
Volunteers are the ❤️ of the House. Thank you for all that you do for us and our families.#NationalVolunteerWeek

Last Friday was #NationalSuperheroDay and our friends at @mcdonalds made it extra special for children and families staying at the House. We served McDonald's for dinner before unleashing our inner superhero by decorating our very own capes! There was no shortage of Hulks, Supermen, and Wonder Women in our dining room that night! ⚡️
Additionally, McDonald’s restaurants across Manhattan served up Superhero Spicy Chicken McNuggets, with 15% of proceeds from April 28-30 coming back to Ronald McDonald House New York. We extend our gratitude to Manhattan McDonald’s Owner/Operators for raising awareness of Ronald McDonald House New York and inspiring New Yorkers to be champions for our mission.
Last week, we received a very special visit from our good friend, Chris Pratt! Chris visited the children and families staying at Ronald McDonald House New York and brought along some special goodies from the new Super Mario Bros. Movie. The afternoon also included some FaceTime calls with some kiddos who couldn’t be there in person but were just as excited to meet Chris and get in on all the fun. Thank you@prattprattpratt@mdceleste(#MDCProductions) for organizing the event and@universalpictures(#universal) for donating hundreds of Super Mario-themed toys and gifts for the kids
On April 19th, we celebrated our 29th Annual Skate with the Greats raising critical funds for families staying at RMH-NY. Thank you to our supporters for making this night so memorable, and an extra-special thank you to our title sponsor of 14 years, @rbc, for your commitment and dedication to our mission.
