How We Help

From a 95-room House on East 73rd Street to family rooms and services inside hospitals throughout NYC, Ronald McDonald House New York shows up for families where they need us most.

One House. 22 hospital partners. All over NYC. Forty-six years of showing up.

Pediatric treatment doesn’t follow a single map. Some families come from across the world to spend months at the House on East 73rd Street. Others spend long days in a hospital waiting room across town and just need a place to breathe between rounds. We built Ronald McDonald House New York to meet every family where they need us.

Two ways we show up

Ronald McDonald House New York serves families in two ways — by opening our doors to them and by building teams and services to meet them where they need us most.

Inside the house

The House on East 73rd Street

In 2025, the House provided 1,824 families from 45 different states and 32 countries with a seamless circle of support. Some stayed a week. Some stayed a year. We never turned a family away for inability to pay.

  • 95 guest rooms, including 6 post-transplant suites.
  • Three meals a day, every day
  • 24/7 staff, on-site family support, in-house tutoring
  • Children’s enrichment and wellness programming
  • Transportation to and from treatment
  • Blocks from Memorial Sloan Kettering, New York-Presbyterian, Hospital for Special Surgery, and 5 other partner hospital systems

What happens inside the House

A bed isn't a program. A roof isn't a cure. The work that happens inside Ronald McDonald House New York is what turns a place to sleep into a place to heal.

Beyond our Doors

An outreach network across 22 NYC hospitals

Not every family needs a roof over their head. Some just need a place to take a breath. Across 22 hospital systems throughout NYC, Ronald McDonald House New York runs four Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, seven Hospitality Carts, and a slate of year-round in-hospital programs — meeting families where they are, inches from the NICU or pediatric ICU.
