2025 Donor Impact

There’s a moment that happens every day at Ronald McDonald House New York.

The Moment

There’s a moment that happens every day at Ronald McDonald House New York.

A family comes through the door, sometimes quietly, sometimes carrying too many bags, sometimes holding a stuffed animal that’s already been through more than most adults. They don’t know who donated yesterday. They don’t know who volunteered that morning. They don’t know the staff member that double and triple checked their room to make sure all was in order for their arrival.

What they do know is this: they’re not alone.

In 2025, that moment happened again and again—and again because of every dollar you donated, every corporate group serving a meal in the House, every individual hour spent away from your family to comfort ours, every clothing drive created in your neighborhood, every Helping Hands corporate group event created, and every individual, impactful choice you made to help.

That moment happened because of you.

Inside the House, You Helped Life Keep Moving

In 2025, 1,824 families stayed at the House, across 1,093 unique stays, representing 3,554 family members who needed a place that felt human in the middle of an event in their lives that simply felt overwhelming.

The House may be known for its rooms, but it’s the active moments of care, connection, and comfort inside them that truly define it.

  • 74,968 meals were served to in-House families, hot meals, quick meals, familiar meals. The kind that quietly say, “You don’t have to think about this right now. We’ve got you.”
  • 13,559 rides helped families get to and from hospitals because no one should have to navigate subway maps while worrying about test results.
  • The Blavatnik Family Foundation Wellness Center welcomed caregivers 7,742 times, offering moments to breathe, stretch, talk, or simply sit still.

Together, these programs didn’t just meet needs—they gave families back a sense of normalcy when everything else felt anything but normal.

Childhood Didn’t Stop Here… and That Matters

Even in a medical crisis, kids are kids and have every right to be just that. They still want to play. They still want to laugh. They are still curious. They still want that sugary ice cream snack at exactly the wrong time of day aka moments before bedtime.

In 2025:

  • The House supported 12,618 Children & Enrichment experiences
  • That included 9,235 play space visits
  • And 17,389 items distributed in hospitals, including 14,356 snack and refreshment deliveries through our Hospitality To-Go program.

These numbers represent coloring books brought to hospital rooms, playtime between appointments, and the simple joy of choosing your own snack—small moments that help childhood survive even the hardest days.

A Citywide Safety Net, Woven in Real Time

In hospitals across New York City, the House showed up where families needed us most.

At Metropolitan Hospital, our programs supported 46,504 families and caregivers, each one a unique individual navigating care, waiting rooms, and long days that don’t always end when the sun goes down.

At Elmhurst Hospital, 3,748 families were supported—1,314 of them unique individuals, including 530 pediatric patients and 8 receiving palliative care.

At Kings County Hospital, we reached 2,184 families, with 955 unique individuals, including 650 pediatric patients.

At Montefiore, 846 families were supported, representing 481 unique individuals.

Across these hospital partners alone, that’s 53,282 moments of support, reaching 49,254 unique people, including 1,180 pediatric patients and 8 families receiving palliative care.

None of this happened “eventually.” It happened in the moment that families needed it—often within hours of arriving in the city.

Turning Access into Action

In 2025, Ronald McDonald House New York’s Population Health team became a vital support system for families across New York City helping ensure a child’s care didn’t end at the hospital door. By addressing everyday barriers like food insecurity, housing instability, transportation challenges, and access to pediatric primary care, the team helped families navigate complex systems with greater stability and less stress during an already overwhelming time.

Population Health in 2025: At a Glance

  • 700+ families supportedacross New York City
  • 2,000+ screenings, referrals, and care navigation services delivered.
  • Nearly 3 points of support per family, on average
  • All five boroughs reachedthrough trusted community partnerships.

This work is powered by collaboration and designed for lasting impact. Through RMH-NY’s participation in theMedicaid 1115 Waiverand partnerships withSocial Care Network organizations across all five boroughs, Population Health connects clinical care with community-based resources reminding families that comprehensive care includes stability, dignity, and support beyond the exam room.

Powered by the People

None of this happens without volunteers who show up early early, stay late, and somehow remember every child’s name.

In 2025, 18,100 volunteer hours were donated by individuals and corporate partners who showed up day after day to support families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Each hour reflected a shared commitment to making the House a place of steadiness and care.

Throughout the year, 162 active individual volunteers supported daily operations inside the House, even as construction limited space and altered routines. Corporate partners also played a significant role, contributing 8,628 volunteer hours and helping sustain one of the most meaningful comforts we provide: meals. Through the generosity of 172 corporate meal groups, families received 74,968 meals in 2025, including 8,110 to go breakfast bags prepared through the Helping Hands program to meet families where they were.

Helping Hands continued to deliver tangible impact. Sixty-five corporate groups sponsored and assembled 5,674 breakfast bags, 2,004 snack bags, and more than 600 welcome bags, along with materials for all 31 Days of Cheer.

Through changing circumstances and shifting family needs, our volunteers remained a constant presence. Their time and generosity helped ensure the House continued to feel like a place of comfort and stability for families when they needed it most.

And for that—on behalf of every caregiver, every child, every volunteer, and every staff member—we are endlessly grateful.

The Big Personal Picture

When we add it all together, in 2025 the House delivered:

  • 87,998 program services
  • Reaching 63,610 unique individuals
  • With an additional 1,188 services, bringing the total served to 89,186 people.

That’s not abstract impact. That’s immediate, tangible impact.

It’s your generosity turning into a meal right now, a ride to an appointment in ten minutes, or a safe place to sleep TONIGHT.

Because of you…our families are not alone.

From Ronald McDonald House New York, thank you for your ongoing support and may 2026 be filled with many blessings for your family and ours.
