Wini Cudjoe Named to the AMNY 2025 Nonprofit Power Players List

Ronald McDonald House New York is proud to celebrate an extraordinary honor for one of its longest-serving leaders. Wini Cudjoe, Chief Operations and Management Officer, has been named to the PoliticsNY and amNY 2025 Nonprofit Power Players list—an annual recognition of executives driving meaningful change for New Yorkers across the nonprofit sector.

A member of the RMH-NY family for nearly 35 years, Wini leads a team of more than 30 staff who provide around-the-clock support to families facing pediatric cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Her leadership spans housing operations, guest services, and navigation support for families receiving treatment at 16 partner hospitals and cancer centers. Drawing on RMH-NY’s 45+ years of expertise, Wini ensures every family experiences a comprehensive, compassionate “circle of support” during their medical journey.

As highlighted in her Power Players profile, Wini encourages rising nonprofit professionals to bring their full perspectives to the work, stay open to learning, and surround themselves with collaborators who push their thinking. She underscores that perseverance, genuine passion, and curiosity are vital ingredients for long-term impact.

Wini also emphasized the importance of broad community engagement in sustaining RMH-NY’s mission. Policymakers and New Yorkers can make a direct difference by volunteering, attending events, donating, or championing policies that improve access to pediatric health care. Each act of support helps families access the care, comfort, and connection they need while navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Looking ahead, Wini is steering RMH-NY through an exciting phase of growth. By 2026, the organization plans to complete a major renovation of its second-floor communal spaces, expanding the areas where families gather, eat, find community, and rest. The redesign includes a new service kitchen that will increase meal accessibility and strengthen volunteer and corporate engagement programs, along with a modern, ADA-compliant family kitchen that will allow families to prepare their own meals. These enhancements reflect RMH-NY’s ongoing commitment to meeting families’ evolving needs with dignity, comfort, and care.

RMH-NY congratulates Wini on this well-deserved recognition. Her leadership continues to shape the experience of every family who walks through the doors of the House—and her impact resonates far beyond East 73rd Street.
