Ronald McDonald House New York’s Greek Division provides support services for families from Greece and Cyprus, as well as for Greek-Americans staying in New York City while battling cancer.

In existence for more than 40 years, the Greek Division has helped to provide a support system for families from Greece and Cyprus seeking treatment for pediatric cancer while in New York City. The support of the local Greek community within the tri-state area has been an integral part of the Division’s ability to provide the financial resources, as well as awareness of the devastating effects of cancer.

In March of 2018, Spiros Maliagros, President of TIG Advisors, was named Chairman of the House's Greek Division. Mr. Maliagros succeeds Michael Bapis, who had served as Chairman since 2014. As Chairman, Mr. Maliagros will lead the Greek Division's strategy in the fulfillment of its mission.

Local members of the Greek community help to support the organization via the annual “Walk of Love” walk-a-thon, held in May. The Greek Division also holds its annual Christmas party in December at the New York Athletic Club.
