NEW YORK, June 30, 2025 – Ronald McDonald House New York (RMH-NY) today announced a transformative renovation project designed to reimagine and enhance the communal spaces on the second floor of its House at 405 East 73rd Street—including dining, kitchen, and program areas that serve as the heart of daily life for families with children battling serious illnesses.

In the earliest days of Ronald McDonald House New York, before there were playrooms and family suites, volunteer teams and even before East 73rd street, there was Jeanne Riegel. Around the House, she was just known as Jeannie.

Among these remarkable pairings were caregivers Tamika and Melissa, whose friendship was born at the House. Their interview offered a unique window into their bond, built through shared experiences and unwavering support.
