We’re proud to provide a supportive, caring place that keeps families close when they need each other most.
When families must travel to New York City for the advanced cancer treatment they can’t get anywhere else, they can find a loving place to stay at our House. Located on East 73rd Street in Manhattan, and within close proximity to 8 major hospital systems, Ronald McDonald House New York welcomes children and families from across the world. The House can accommodate 95 families including 6 post-transplant suites.

Our Mission
Ronald McDonald House New York provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families in a strong, supportive, and caring environment which encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)
RMHC is global network of local Chapters that has been helping millions of families with sick children find comfort and support when they need it most. Since 1974, RMHC has created programs that strengthen families during difficult times. RMHC provides vital resources and compassionate care to children and their families being served by leading hospitals worldwide.
Our Relationship with McDonald’s
Since the founding of the first Ronald McDonald House, McDonald’s has helped support families with sick children by providing stability and vital resources. Their support extends from monetary contributions and volunteerism to cause-related marketing promotions and the space to place Donation Boxes that raise money for Chapters around the world. McDonald’s continues to provide valuable resources to help Ronald McDonald Houses expand our core programs and services.
Our Relationship with Partnering Hospitals
Ronald McDonald House New York partners with eight neighboring hospital systems in New York City. Each of these medical centers play an integral role in connecting families to the services offered by RMH-NY. To reserve a room at Ronald McDonald House New York, families must secure a referral from their assigned social worker at the hospital their child is actively receiving treatment at. Additionally, we partner with neighboring hospitals to offer services outside of the House such as the NYC Health + Hospital/Kings County Family Room, Hospitality Carts at both HSS and NYP Weil Cornell and our Hospital Outreach Programs.
