Dr. Kung, a physician-scientist, joined Memorial Sloan Kettering as the new Chair of the Department of Pediatrics in August 2019. He oversees the clinical, research, and educational missions of the department, one of the largest in the world, and specializes in caring for patients using cancer genomics, precision medicine, and stem cell transplantation. His clinical expertise is in Pediatric Hematology, Blood & Bone Marrow Transplantation, Pediatric Leukemias and Pediatric Blood Disorders. As Department Chair, Dr. Kung is also responsible for advancing MSK’s mission to train the next generation of leaders in pediatric oncology as well as the physician-scientists who will develop the newest pioneering therapies.
