RMH-NY & Katie's Art Project are teaming up to bring you a special experience called The Lion King Broadway Sing-a-Long with Special Guest Chondra Profit and Derrick Davis!

Sing A Long! Chondra and Derrick will be teaching you how to properly sing all of your favorite songs from THE LION KING! Sing your heart out and live your Broadway Disney dreams!

Your admission donation will directly support Katie's Art Project and Ronald McDonald House New York.

Katie’s Art Project connects children facing life-threatening and terminal Illness with emerging and established artists through collaborative programs to create a lasting legacy through art.

Ronald McDonald House New York provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families in a strong, supportive and caring environment which encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems.

About Chondra Profit:

As a toddler, while watching her mother direct stage plays, Chondra La- Tease Profit, fell in love with the arts. That love increased and was further nurtured as she attended The San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA). She has since pursued her passion of theatre while studying and receiving a BFA from The American Music of Dramatic Academy of the Arts (AMDA). With no end in sight, Chondra has been performing on Broadway for over a decade and is best known for her role as “Queen Sarabi” in Disney’s The Lion King.

Her love of the stage and the arts has led her to her more recent passion of teaching and being apart of the advancement and development of youth. She has been The Director of Operations for many teen programs all over the world. Be-YOU-Tiful Foundation(which promotes young ladies to just BE-YOU) Runway Rhythms( which teaches the core fundamentals of modeling, etiquette and public speaking) TAA (Talent Award Association) (which helps youth recognize their talents and how to take them to its highest level) Just to name a few.

Chondra continues to pursue her passion of theatre and teaching and aspires to some day inspire the same way so many of her inspirations and role models did her.

About Derrick Davis:

Derrick Davis, an American born actor/singer recently starred in the North American touring production of The Phantom of the Opera in the title role. He covered the role of Billy Bigelow in Broadway’s recent run of Carousel. He was also seen in the Broadway production of Disney’s The Lion King covering the roles of Mufasa and Scar after playing Mufasa in the national touring company and covering the role in the Las Vegas production. Mr. Davis played the role of Curtis Taylor Jr. in Dreamgirls during Dallas Theatre Center’s Tony Award® winning season. Other credits include: THEATRE – Show Boat, Earl Wilson Jr.’s You’re It!.; OPERA - Amahl and the Night Visitors, Die Fledermaus; TV - Dangerous Liaisons, A Christmas Tale, performances on Live with Regis and Kelly and The View; FILM - Can a Song Save Your Life. CONCERT - featured soloist in the Las Vegas Philharmonic’s Rodgers and Hammerstein Concert. A Journey Through Love (solo concert), A Christmas Journey (solo concert).
