Tis the Season to Volunteer

At any given time during the week, you will find as many as three different groups of volunteers in the House of East 73rd street, at one of our family rooms across NYC, or even working for RMH-NY from their own offices. Each company is volunteering to make a difference in the lives of the families we serve at Ronald McDonald House New York.

Corporate Volunteering has always been a part of the backbone of RMH-NY.

As an organization, we heavily rely on the generous allocation of capital and the generous allocation of time from teams at several top-tier corporations in NYC to help keep our operation in good working order.

Join Helping Hands at RMH-NY, where your group can make a direct impact on the well-being of families facing medical crises. The Helping Hands initiative has evolved in recent years to include activities that corporate teams can set up and complete in their own offices. When opting for this avenue of service, RMH-NY will provide a representative from the organization who will come and oversee the service project at the corporate partner’s office. In these scenarios, groups will usually assemble a certain type of care package filled with either a fun activity for the children or an assortment of treats for caregivers or the whole family. The various care packages include:

  • Breakfast Bags
  • Welcome Bags
  • Holiday Bags
  • NICU Care Kits
  • Go Snack Packs
  • Storytime Packet: The Dot
  • Storytime Packet ISH

To every single group who has so compassionately and effortlessly given their time, money, and manpower to further the mission of RMH-NY and enrich the lives of the children and families we serve who are facing unbelievably challenging moments in their lives… THANK YOU!

We try to say this as much as we possibly can, but we could not provide the level of care and service to our families that we are able to give them if it were not for you. Your generosity has made it possible to extend our reach even further and expand our mission to include so many families right here at home in NYC that need that same care and compassion.

Through our new health equity initiatives, our family rooms, and special projects with hospital partners in all five boroughs, we are reaching more people who need our services now than ever before. That would not have been a possibility without the dedicated corporate and community groups who volunteer their time and money to make it happen.
