Ronald McDonald House New York Volunteer Opportunities

Ronald McDonald House New York was created by volunteers. Today, caring volunteers still lend their time and talents to every part of our House.

Volunteers can take on group and individual activities as well as short-term, long-term, or one-time projects.

There are lots of ways we can match your skills and interests with opportunities to help kids and families battling cancer. Many volunteer opportunities are listed on this site.

As you may know, our House is currently under construction as we add 11 new rooms to the House so that we are a home-away-from-home for 11 more families. Due to this construction, we do not have individual volunteer opportunities available in the House at this time.

We are in the process of recruiting volunteers for our new Ronald McDonald Family Room New York which is located on the pediatric floor of NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in Brooklyn. Ronald McDonald Family Rooms offer a place for families to rest and regroup right at the hospital, just moments away from their sick child. When families walk into a Ronald McDonald Family Room, we want them to forget they’re in a hospital.  Our volunteer will be a friendly face for the families and will assist them with anything they may need while in the room to ease their difficult time.

If you think that the Ronald McDonald Family Room New York at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in Brooklyn is a good volunteer fit for you, please contact our Volunteer Manager, Caitlin Conklin, at 212.639.0615 or cconklin@rmh-newyork.org.
